For more than 50 years, our company has been sawing oak and other local hardwoods, respecting a traditional process of woodworkers with modern manufacturing facilities.
The company was created in 1965 by Jean MONNIOT who started as timber merchant mainly with the import of tropical hardwood from West Africa. In 1970, he purchased a sawmill in Brienne-le-Chateau (North Eastern France) and specialised the company in the processing of oak and other local hardwoods. His son François took over the management in 1993 and, since 2019, his grandson Eric. Three generations dedicated to processing the wood and to serving our customers.
Oak requires great care and expertise during its processing from the forest to the delivery to our customers. This is the reason why we have invested in the means of preserving wood such as watering area for logs, kiln dryers and storage buildings. Our 30 employees always do their best to satisfy our customers and to guarantee them quality and reliability.
Our products are intended for various activities such as flooring, joinery, carpentry, furniture-making, railways, cooperage, timber trading etc. and we work with customers around the world throughout Europe, Asia and Africa.
