Logging
Each year, we harvest 15000 m3 of logs coming from the best Champagne and Burgundy forests.
Of this 12000 m3 goes to our sawmill in Brienne le Château for cutting and 3000 m3 are sold as round logs for veneer or barrel makers.
Our logs mainly come from state forests (managed by the Office National des Forets), and private owners gatherings. Most of them are PEFC certified.
The logs are chopped down and skidded during the winter season then stacked and watered in our yard in order to protect them from insects and fungus attacks.
